Citizen Admiral Groenwold has captured the Elric System from a Manticoran force. Elric was a support base for the Royal Manticoran Navy boasting orbital habitats and an asteroid mining and smelting operation. The Manticoran force fought only a brief rearguard action and lost four capital ships and a battlecruiser to Admiral Groenwald's taskforce.
